How LandCleared collects, uses, and retains your personal data — in compliance with the Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023.

What data we collect and why
LandCleared collects the personal data necessary to verify land parcels, connect verified buyers and sellers, and operate the platform. The specific data depends on your role:
- Buyers: Buyers: name, contact details, search preferences, and subscription records. Used to provide listing access, saved searches, and enquiry mediation.
- Sellers: Sellers: name, contact details, KYC documents (Aadhaar, PAN), and land parcel submission documents. Used to verify seller identity and process the 5-Layer Legal Audit.
- Admins: Admin & Legal Executives: name and role assignment. Used for audit trail attribution and queue management.
Retention schedule
Personal data is retained only as long as necessary for the purposes described below. After the retention period, data is deleted or anonymised.

Your rights as a Data Principal
Under DPDPA, you have the right to access, correct, or erase your personal data. The two functional affordances below let you exercise these rights immediately in this prototype.
Export every piece of data this prototype has stored about your session (all localStorage keys prefixed with lc.) as a JSON file. In production, this export is delivered within 30 days of a written request.
In production, this would purge your personal data within 30 days except where retention rules apply. In this prototype, it clears your local demo session immediately — removing all role, tier, saved search, and consent data.
Grievance contact
For any privacy-related grievances, contact our Data Protection Officer at privacy@landcleared.in. We acknowledge all grievances within 48 hours and resolve them within 30 days, per DPDPA requirements.
